Rene Arza has been immersed in the Hunter/Jumper industry since the early 1970s and has worked as a professional trainer and rider since the late 1980s. With decades of experience across both hunters and jumpers, Rene is known for his thoughtful, methodical approach and his ability to quietly work through challenges that others might rush past.
At the core of Rene’s program is a deep belief that strong flatwork creates great jumping. He focuses on improving a horse’s rideability, adjustability, and understanding, helping horses become confident, willing partners and riders gain true control and feel. His strength lies in breaking problems down, rebuilding foundations, and guiding horse and rider toward clarity without pressure.
Rene has a gift for seeing what a horse needs in the moment and translating that into simple, effective steps for the rider. Whether addressing a training plateau, a confidence issue, or a technical challenge, his calm, patient approach allows progress to happen naturally and sustainably.
Rene specializes in developing horses and riders through correct basics, thoughtful progression, and clear communication, always with the long-term partnership in mind.
